RickxTwice Silent Hill f Review

I would suggest not to play on the Combat mode but Story as this game has really annoying elements (like infinite enemy respawns with many enemies, the enemies can get cheap grabs too though they give many healing items). If you get stuck on a puzzle or just get sick of endlessly fighting it can get quite annoying. I didn't like Otherworld since it was quite bland, dark and like a labyrinth that all looks alike and they got rid of the map in that area for some weird reason. It also felt too supernatural (hard to explain this but think of Devil May Cry, it isn't a horror game but has horror like enemies, it can feel closer to that at times). However Fog world and the Real world were really nice. I enjoyed those. The game felt a bit disjointed, some worlds the enemies can die, some they can infinitely respawn. Some worlds you have powers and abilities to stop that, some you don't but have only normal weapons (which also change depending on world, this all made it felt like a completely different game at times). You can sprint without getting tired...unless an enemy appeared then you can magically become tired. I didn't like the upgrade system relied on these Ema's you have to find as I could do many upgrades but not a lot of Ema's. Then one section near the end I felt like they threw in a few out of nowhere. There's almost 0 connection between this game and Silent Hill 1-4. Besides the drug thing, mining and some religious elements (not ofc speaking of the fog stuff, though I think it might be similar to Silent Hill 3 with the Protagonist in some ways. They had the radio give static but only for it to give news reports not warn of enemies like the others). The game was not scary at all. I heard some say this is the scariest one. This is the least scary. I don't like this didn't have guns too. I get it, we are using young teens. But still felt a bit off. Some glitches existed, particularly near the end you have this Devil May Cray like scenes where defeat the enemies for a supernatural barrier to disappear but some enemies refused to come through weirdly and turned around even. So had to restart those a few times (lucky there is auto save). The music is great but not catchy. The worlds looked amazing. Besides some looking alike and bland areas (particularly Otherworld). Enemies and weapons were limited. When I would hope for a new enemy it would pretty much just be a new version of an old one. A glorified version. The Otherworld characters were to cryptic to be interesting. I did like Hinako (real/fog one) Rinko and Shu and the story of Sakuko though. Also liked running around exploring the real/fog worlds and liked the building sections. The lighting in Otherworld was nice for things like lamps and stuff. Combat was good even though weapons can break and wear down. Explorations and combat unfortunately like I said can get annoying due to enemies though. They are fun to battle if small or can kill and nice dodge feature. The story got really strange out of nowhere at one point where it felt more like a goosebumps game or something. But the ending was unexpected and kinda explained that (kinda though it has multiple endings on replay so more to discover). At least the very ending made up for it. All in all it was good. Not the best but not a bad game. Very different.
