Roy_batty_place Resident Evil Requiem Review

It's a good game after all, though not without its flaws. The first part does an excellent job of building tension and atmosphere, delivering a genuine survival horror experience that keeps you on edge. However, the second half shifts dramatically in tone — becoming far too action-oriented, which unfortunately causes the sense of dread and vulnerability that defined the early game to almost completely vanish. The carefully crafted horror elements give way to relentless combat sequences, and with them, much of what made the game compelling in the first place is lost.
