Ryo Hazuki Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Review

Same of the same of the previous two games except the formula feels very tired by now. It's definitely not as good as Morales with the better gameplay, less bloated map and Christmas setting. Writing is even worse than the first game, character choices are really poor and playing as two Spiderman instead of just Peter and then Venom is very redundant. Playing as Venom throughout the game, opposite Spiderman, would have made the game more ambitious and unique. Exploration is a lot worse here as the wingsuit completely ruins the experience of being Spiderman. Boss fights are really weak and there's no gameplay element that wasn't in the previous two games. It's very conservative and lacks ambition everywhere. Still somewhat enjoyable if you want your Spiderman fix but Insomniac's formula burn out and open world burn out are very likely to happen. PC version is still deeply mediocre and not recommended.
