A near flawless remake that for better or worse is not content with simply re-treading old ground.

Pros

Faithful to the original
Visually spectacular
Modernised combat that doesn't do more than it needs to
Akira Yamaoka's work on the soundtrack is once again excellent
Good VA with James (Luke Roberts) being particularly great

For some reason The Pros i've listed are showing up as cons and i've been unable to change the review despite multiple attempts. The Cons should read: -Expanded gameplay sections have the side effect of slowing down the pacing of the story -Noticeable if not deal-breaking Unreal Engine 5 Stutter
