Sheepdog6k Pokemon Legends: Z-A Review

Out of every Main Line Pokemon Game from Gen 1 to ZA, Pokemon Legends ZA is the one I dislike the most. Positives - The battle style is cool Similar catching style to Legends Arceus but not as good Negatives: The plot is diabolical The battle grind is horrendous There is almost zero exploration beyond getting on rooftops The characters were poor, either designed as obstacles to slow you down, or in many cases felt dismissive, eg the researcher. The plot seemed rushed, missing pieces, very tedious and loose. The ending even more so. It was just a very hollow and half hearted experience. As a huge huge Pokemon fan I have never felt this badly about a Pokemon game before. I am worried about the future of the series. The Pokemon designs were poor, the development was poor. If Legends ZA had been a £15 DLC add-on to a remake of X and Y then I think I'd have been satisfied with the wild areas, the battle zones and the boss fights. But to be a full mainline £70 game? That is at best delusional, at worst you're taking advantage of people. A huge misfire and a sad way to kick off the Switch 2 generation.
