SkillPoint Digimon Story: Time Stranger Review

For JRPG fans and Digimon enthusiasts, Digimon Story: Time Stranger is a real treat on the Nintendo Switch. Those who can look past the very sluggish opening ten hours are rewarded with a gripping time-travel story and one of the deepest raising and Digivolution systems in the series' history. The fantastic way the various mechanics interlock creates an immense—almost dangerously addictive—quality. On the downside, the game falls short in terms of presentation and technical execution: the visuals lack detail and fail to impress, dedicated cutscenes are sorely missed, and the combat audio could have used significantly more punch. However, if you can overlook the visual flaws and are looking for a deep RPG that easily outclasses Pokémon in terms of complexity, this JRPG standout is not to be missed!
