The best single player fps of the last decade. Doom Eternal left expectations in many and the desire for the game mechanics to remain identical. It was brilliant before, it still is now, and perhaps more. Two different games, the latter technically more advanced, with more refined game mechanics, more in-depth from the point of view of lore, plot and settings. Everything contributes to making you part of a story that cannot be expected to win an Oscar for depth and themes addressed. It is certainly the most engaging story of this reinvented saga and playing this chapter I had the continuous impression that it was mammoth in scope and final result, while the previous one was a brilliant and immediate continuous chess game.
