Having now fully explored the vast world of Hyrule, I can say with confidence that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and its successor, Tears of the Kingdom, represent the greatest one-two punch in video game history. As a direct sequel built on the same engine by the same team, Tears of the Kingdom elevates its predecessor's groundbreaking formula to a new stratosphere. ​The game completely captured my imagination; I was constantly brainstorming creative solutions, sparking a level of genuine excitement I've rarely felt. As someone who has been gaming since Pac-Man in the arcades and Donkey Kong on the ColecoVision, that feeling is both rare and profound. While both games are masterpieces that stand tall within the legendary Zelda pantheon, Tears of the Kingdom has cemented itself as one of the most incredible gaming experiences I have ever had.
