​Blue Prince is the most unique and innovative puzzle game I have ever played. It’s such a profound breath of fresh air that it completely recalibrated my expectations for ingenuity in the genre, setting an entirely new bar for what a puzzle game can be. ​However, this innovation comes with a significant challenge, and Blue Prince is absolutely not for everyone. If you intend to solve its brilliant puzzles on your own, be prepared: note-taking isn’t just recommended, it’s a requirement. You will need a trusty pen and pad or, at the very least, a robust system of screenshots organized in a tool like Google Keep. The puzzles are incredibly difficult, and this complexity is mixed with elements of RNG that can lead to moments of intense frustration. ​For me, overcoming these demanding challenges was immensely rewarding, making the entire journey worth the effort. Despite, or perhaps because of, its uncompromising nature, Blue Prince is easily one of the best and most memorable games of 2025.
