Sunrise Parabellum Titan Quest II Review
Sep 18, 2025
Early Access 0.1.0
I played for 12 hours with a mix of excitement and nostalgia, but I'm writing this review with cautious optimism. The game has a good foundation with things going on but its early access status is very apparent.
The Good :
★ The immersive soundtrack sets the mythological tone perfectly and enhances the overall atmosphere
★ Beautiful and impressive visuals + high quality and detailed textures
★ Fun and dynamic combat with a wide variety of classes and spells which make experimentation enjoyable
★ Rewarding exploration
★ Convenient portal system that makes traveling between merchants and quest areas efficient (QoL)
★ Some challenging boss encounters that demanded focus and strategy
★ DLSS 4 + FSR 4 support
★ No microtransactions or live-service systems(free of battle passes, premium shops, or monetization clutter)
Cons :
☆ Minimal character creator with very limited customization options
☆ Weak writing which clashes with otherwise solid voice acting
☆ Polished but light on content, not enough to justify the price tag, even by early access standards
☆ Bugs and performance issues (stuck on ladders, hard freezes especially after alt-tabbing, unusually high GPU usage in homescreen
☆ Awkward controls for someone less familiar with ARPGs (it took some time to get used to)
☆ The opening feels basic and doesn’t leave a strong first impression
☆ Too many unexciting generic drops that quickly clutter the inventory without feeling impactful
➡ To conclude : Titan Quest II shows real promise as it delivers a solid core ARPG experience and already feels more refined than many games at this stage of early access. However, the current version suffers from a lack of meaningful content, technical bugs, and a generally weak narrative presentation, which is a solid reason why it might be worth waiting for future updates before jumping in.
