Is it a good game? Yes. Does it deserve all the glazing it’s receiving? No. It has the potential to be great. They removed ALOT compared to the last one & honestly this feels like bare bones base game, I’m expecting DLC’s. I’d say it’s like when sims 4 came out, everyone super excited & yea had a good time, but it was bare bones base game. I don’t think it’s worth $60 due to that. I hope they either give free content updates or dlcs at a fair price. If neither happens then yea it’s pretty poor & not worth it. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been playing it daily since it came out & enjoying creating stuff but I unlocked everything so quickly without trying but just from giving my miis food. Barely any items in game. Creation mode is good but still lacking a lot of options like colour wheels for hair & skin tones. Not being able to put in hex codes for colours making it difficult to create a 2 piece outfit that are the same colours. Creating clothes you only get to do standard clothing like trousers, t shirts, dresses- but you can’t create crop tops (even tho the game does have its own crop tops, if you have an idea of making your own, too bad you can’t) and to be honest, you’ll only enjoy playing this game consistently after a couple days is by creating a majority of the time which can get annoying after a while. as a fan myself & someone who is actually enjoying it this is my honest opinion- good, but lacking ALOT.
