Tahseen Pacific Drive Review

Dec 8, 2025
This game captures the feeling of Kavinsky’s “outrun” album. Those late night drive vibes are what kept me engaged even if the story wasn't all that. The game loop of searching for materials to upgrade and maintain this anomalous car kept me engaged for a solid while. Towards the end of the tech tree though, it gets a bit too grindy for my liking. I wish the upgrades were paced a bit better to match the story too. Taking about the story, it’s a mess. Start to finish, there's nothing there to keep you engaged. Your just aimlessly following some voices on a radio, that never leads to a meaningful conclusion. Had such potential with the setting and the anomalous nature of the car. Never leads to anything. Last thing I’ll say is, the music on the radio slaps, bunch of indie small name artists that belt banger while you drive around the zone. Few of those tunes definite have a spot on my playlist. 5/10 Kinda a fan of this “Hybrid Automobile”
