Tahseen Undertale Review

I did not enjoy my time with undertale. The only positive thing I can say is that the music is banging. It might honestly be a result of having every tune from this game blasted at me in every YouTube video I've ever watched. Its a testament to the quality of the tunes that even after hearing them over and over and over again, I still enjoyed the tracks in this game. Maybe it is a situation where the community has hyped this game up so much to a point where my expectations were astronomically high for a one man made indie game, or the fact that the writing and humour is from a time I want to leave in the past. I'm sure if younger me had picked this game up, he would have had a fun time and have put this as one of his favourites. However I picked it up recently, and the 8 or so hours it took to complete it felt like a slog, and at times, my eyes were getting tired of the amount of rolling they were doing listing to the dialogue. I don’t mind the art style, the story was passable but the characters really let it down for me. 3/10 I lack the determination to enjoy this, despite how much I really wanted to.
