Teohke Moonlighter Review

Jan 17, 2026
The core loop of Moonlighter is pure addiction: you loot dungeons in a tense but simple action dungeon crawler, then manage selling your spoils in your own shop. This commerce simulation—where you must deduce optimal prices by observing customer reactions—is the true star and the most original aspect of the game. However, the combat feels stiff and basic. Enemy patterns become repetitive quickly, and weapon progression doesn’t meaningfully change how the game plays. Repetition sets in early: while the dungeons are visually distinct, they play almost the same, and the shop management, though clever at first, eventually boils down to just adjusting price menus.
