The_Ham_of_Rum Fretless - The Wrath of Riffson Review

Wondferful game. So many small details come together here to give you that feeling that there's "something special" about this game, and that a lot of personal heart and soul went into making it. I'd wager that the most dev time and dedication went into the combat and everything around that. Each of the four styles or weapons is surprisingly deep in terms of how much you can unlock, upgrade, and customize. At one point, I was worried I’d need to master all four of them, but I quickly realized that I can stick to my favorites and completely ignore the others. I personally switched between two of the four styles and never felt like I couldn’t make progress. It got to the point where I was actually looking for fights because it was so fun to piece together your attacks. Tbh I think this game actually made me fully realize I am a fan of turn-based combat XD It also felt great to be able to finish the game over few days instead of playing something that dragged on and on. I don’t usually buy games at launch because I already have a huge backlog, but this one felt like something worth supporting, and I’m really glad I did.
