TheHeartPiece Mixtape Review

This game is 100% vibes. As a Spanish guy in his mid 30s who has never lived in the US, skated, listened to many of the songs carefully selected in the soundtrack or been much of a rebel boy, I still found myself enchanted by it. These three teenagers are spending one last day together while remembering the highs and lows of their friendship. The anxiety and excitement of what there’s to come. The sadness of what you’ll be missing. The pain of knowing that you’ll be an adult and responsibility is quickly catching up. These are all quite a universal feelings and I completely felt them while playing it. At the same time, there’s not much more that Mixtape offers. There are some “minigames” sprinkled throughout the 2 or so hours that it takes to reach the credits, but nothing worth playing without the context of the story that surrounds it. So I get that some people are not going to vibe with it at all. As I said, it relies on you vibing with it. And I definitely did.
