TheShizzle Hogwarts Legacy Review

Dec 2, 2025
After the initial jaw drop, things quickly start falling apart. It follows the typical ubisoft style of quantity over quality. The game is too big for its own good. Quests and things you have to do become boring and repetitive. Things are designed in a way to waste more and more of your time, for an example adding a minigame to alohamora, just unlock the lock dammit! After dealing with all the boring tasks, you goto the room of requirements. Instead of a place of relaxation and tranquility you get to do more tasks like taking care of animals. Why do I have to do it when there is a house elf that doens't seem to do anything? If they follow the same format I would not be buying a Hogwarts Legacy 2. It is quite sad really looking at how beautifully done the castle is, and how amazing many of the environments are, and how much attention to detail the designers have put into it. I think they should have kept the game a somewhat of a linear adventure or if they are going open world should have made it more of an immersive sim.
