Titanbjorn Dragon Age: The Veilguard Review

The Game is... decent at best. The Story would be AMAZING if the writing wasn't horrendous. The Companions are boring, they don't take any damage, the dialogue is stale most of the time, the only thing they are useful for is taking a mob off you for a little bit to get a breather to heal and also, they are good as an extra potion or 2. Graphics are AMAZING looking, but a potato is better optimized than this game. I can play Space Marine 2 on the Highest setting without issues, but this game will crash ever 2 minutes because it has my CPU and GPU running at 87.1% CPU and 91.5% GPU just for this game. I even lowered the setting down to low and it changed my CPU to 85% and 90% usage... make that make sense. Also, I would take crappier graphics just to have a better writers working on the game. BY FAR the best part of the game is the combat, but that even lack on PC. The camera gets randomly wonky at times and the targeting can really get annoying when you are looking right at a mob and your guy decides to attack something else... If the game didn't have Dragon Age in the title it probably would have been fine but with it in there it had expectations to meet... it didn't meet a single one for me, this game is barely an RPG... You can make choices but all of them come off as way too nice, I want to be able to be rude to people when I role play my shady rogue but no you get usually 3 or 4 options and they all sound almost the same. I could never recommend this game to anyone who fell in love with the series like I did way back when Origins release. For someone that has no plans on playing any of the other games, I say go for it, just dont get super hyped about the other games, they will not be the same experience.
