Trixxstrr Nine Sols Review

Just finished Nine Sols. I really liked the hand drawn art style. The characters were great and the story was interesting. I liked all of the different environments and levels as a Metroidvania. That said, it was too hard for me, but luckily they had the story mode option which I switched to pretty quick, and then the damage sliders I adjusted as I went as I still got stuck at a few points even on story mode. Great that they had those options. I also wish they were a little more clear on where to go, but after a while I did get the hang of how it worked. It took me 16 hrs to finish and I got the normal ending. I saw there is a true ending also but I wasn't interested in going back to do all the steps to get that. So overall, for me, it was just alright. I'm not the target market for a hard game like this focused on combat, but I'm glad they had the options to make it easy.
