vbfox Pokemon Legends: Z-A Review
Feb 22, 2026
TL;DR:It's "meh" The good parts are that the gameplay system of the Legends series is still enjoyable and different enough from the main series to provide a different experience, and the city is big, with nice platforming and parkour parts. But tech-wise it's only passable, clearly a switch 1 game that is just available on switch. The costlier version being justified by nothing but better resolution and a few texture, the environment and models complexity being exactly the same. The gameplay is still made very complicated with a lot of options and types and objects to hold but only 1% being exploited as using only your main, over-leveled by default pokemon works nearly every time. Poke-center are shops as healing pokemons there is useless because health items are so cheap they replace them. Story is also pretty repetitive and the only unpredictible parts are the one the game just hide from you to spun them as "ahah" moments. Not a bad game, but clearly the license has materials to do a lot more, even in the secondary Legends series.
