Verspark Horizon Call of the Mountain Review

Dec 24, 2024
9.2/10 Finished - 30/12/2023 Time To Beat - 15h Notes: Amazing Graphics Really feels like the start of a new age to gaming - the graphics and gameplay make gaming feel more real than anything before The combat, movement and climbing feel extremely realistic, especially with the gesture movements Even though the story is not that interesting, it is good that it is not as it is based in the horizon world and many fans would be disappointed if they had to buy an expensive VR headset to play a mandatory game to understand the story in later instalments. The story could still have had some elements of the old ones which is not important for the overall story, but it is still nice to expand on the stories of the tribes. A common critique for this game is that there is too much climbing, but this is not a game for the story or action, but as a showcase of what VR can do. Furthermore, the climbing can be made fun when risky methods are used instead of slowly creeping up the walls The main problem with this game is the price, at a massive £60 for around 15h of experience, but it is definitely worth it if you have the money
