Vikcen Resident Evil Requiem Review
May 10, 2026
I’ve always considered Resident Evil 4 a masterpiece in the history of video games, and now, after finishing this game’s campaign on Switch 2, I honestly couldn’t believe it, because to me it stands on that very same level (which is already saying something — absolutely insane). Maybe even better, I’m not sure, but an absolute masterpiece nonetheless.
I especially wanted to highlight just how incredibly fun it was: it hooks you completely and never lets go. A huge part of that comes from its masterful level design and how amazingly varied the adventure remains from beginning to end, helped greatly by the brilliant decision to alternate between the two protagonists, two characters I completely fell in love with. Thank you both, Grace and Leon, for this thrilling adventure that will forever remain an unforgettable memory for me, it was a pleasure surviving alongside you both.
Pros:
- The charisma of Grace and Leon, a perfect duo. Its amazing atmosphere, story, and narrative.
- The level design.
- How varied the game is. Being able to alternate between both characters is a delight, and both gameplay styles are excellent in terms of mechanics.
- Controls for every taste: first or third person, action or stealth...
- The graphics overall (both in handheld and TV mode). The lighting is stunning.
Cons:
The final boss isn’t very challenging.
