Wobbington Pokemon Legends: Z-A Review

Oct 20, 2025
(Switch 2 version) I'm having a ton of fun with game and I can recommend it to people who like Pokemon (but in all honesty they'd probably get it anyway). The graphics and performance are great, for a Pokémon game, however when compared to other games, like Breath of the Wild or Xenoblade Chronicles 3 or X it still looks like a fancy Switch 1 game. The game keeps what was good about Arceus: you can swap Pokemon or their moves anywhere you want. I really like the new battlesystem and hope that this time they keep the improvements when we go to Gen 10 and that mainline entry. I'm currently 20 hours in and I'm enjoying the story, there are plenty of references to the old X/Y games but it's by no means required to have played those to understand what's going on. On the downside is that while the game looks good, there are other older games that still look better and it's a shame that there's still no voice acting this isn't terrible but just a missed opportunity because I feel that really brought the game to life. The last thing is the price, €65,- is pricey (for Switch games) but it seems that regardless of what platform you play games they're making it more expensive.
