Yoshiman6464 Animal Crossing: New Horizons Review
Oct 26, 2024
That was THE game of 2020. I played this game non-stop during all of Covid and it is a very cozy game - especially with the Island crafting and the different tasks. Plus, I was able to get my Island to 5-Stars and played with my friend online. And plus - Island customization? AMAZING! Especially where you can put your own bridges and slopes.
The game would have been an easy 5-star rating IF it wasn't for the fact that the game took some features from the older games - especially the villager dynamics, the Nook Store upgrades, the multiplayer games from New Leaf, and so forth. I am glad that the game has a 2.0 upgrade which got us the Brewster, the cooking, and of course the Happy Home Paradise DLC. But the game never fixed many of its glaring QOL issues - most notably the lack of multi-crafting and some buggy multiplayer.
All and all, it's an incredible game. I am excited for the next installment on the Switch successor.
