The hype is real for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor! Respawn Entertainment released an impressive first entry in their Star Wars franchise in 2019 - Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order - scoring a top critic average of 82, with 83% of critics recommending the game. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor picks up five years after the events of Fallen Order, following Cal Kestis as he navigates a dangerous new galaxy. Early previews have had many critics excited for the expanding gameplay and narrative possibilities, building on the first game's strong combat, environments, and characters.

So when will reviews for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor arrive? The wait is almost over: review embargo for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set for Wednesday, April 26th at 8:00 a.m. PDT. Head over to the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor page for all the reviews when it drops!

Previews for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor have been generally positive so far, with most critics seeing strong improvements from Respawn's first iteration:

Forbes' Erik Kain: "I'm already adding it to my list of potential Game Of The Year contenders." (source)

IGN's Mitchell Saltzman: "My main takeaway from roughly five hours with the upcoming sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, is that it felt like I was systematically crossing off the issues I had with Fallen Order. Survivor feels grander without ever letting the burgeoning scope compromise the exploration and sense of discovery that serves as its heart." (source)

Game Informer's Brian Shea: "After spending three full hours playing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, I feel confident that Respawn has learned all the correct lessons from its first attempt at creating a Star Wars adventure. The navigation feels more natural, the combat is more fleshed out, and the story is going in some very intriguing directions. If the slice of gameplay I experienced is any indication, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a more than worthy successor to the already great Fallen Order." (source)

Kotaku's Lucas White: "This game is as much of a flex as a sequel can get, with more of everything people liked about Fallen Order piled on and expanded with new systems, mechanics, and flourishes. I played Survivor for roughly four hours and barely made a dent." (source)

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launches 13 hours after reviews land, at midnight EDT on April 28th, or 9pm PDT on April 27th. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
