Captaincool The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Review

Love the old school quest design and world. The natural progression of quests and exploration through rumors and hearsay about town is second to none. I can admit my score ,ay be based more on nostalgia than anything else. Compared to modern games the combat and RPG progression might as well be a zero. You never get stronger, you rarely find new weapons or gear to use. And the dozens of oblivion gates you have to clear are dull and repetitive. I still had full intentions of completing the main story of the game, but I got turned into a vampire and nobody would talk to or interact with me. I began down the path to cure myself but it was a lot of hoops. I appreciate the idea but forcing the player down a multiple hour detour is not a great idea.
