Rogue Waters is a very well-designed TRPG that has many customization options and does a great job of getting beginners involved by perfectly explaining everything so they can get to the fun factor much more quickly. Combine that with an interesting pirate tale, a great atmosphere, and great visuals, and you’ve got a fresh game worthy of the TRPG genre.
The Karate Kid: Street Rumble is a labor of love, filled with charm and clearly loads of passion. Experiencing the original three titles in pixel form is a joy for any fan, either new or old. Each of the four characters is fun to play as, with a variety of skills and moves to utilize. However, the lack of an online mode and the disappointing use of animated cutscenes hold it back from being something even greater.
FAIRY TAIL: Beach Volleyball Havoc has a lovely pixel art summer vibe with a large roster of characters from the anime series to choose from. However, no native online play holds it back, and there are no single-player offerings besides the magic volleyball matches with AI players. On the upside, its sole mode is not only fun but keeps you coming back, thanks to the character's unique attributes and their magic spells. In short, this game may not be as grand as 2020's FAIRY TAIL or the upcoming FAIRY TAIL 2, but its arcade pick-up-and-play nature makes it a perfect companion to big games like those.
