The Casting of Frank Stone stands out as an excellent and fitting new addition to the Dead by Daylight universe. Blending familiar narrative elements with new characters, the game gives players the power to make their own decisions in a way that perfectly suits the Fog. This Dead by Daylight adaptation is arguably Supermassive Games' best title yet, and will likely not only become a fan-favorite for DBD fans, but for fans of choose-your-own-adventure narrative titles altogether. It breathes new life into Dead by Daylight, but is also an interesting, well-made, and developed enough story to stand entirely on its own.

6 / 10.0 - Dustborn
Aug 17, 2024

Dustborn attempts to tackle a lot of genres, and it honours most of them very well. This emotional, political road trip reaches its destination, but suffers a few too many bumps along the way.

Still Wakes the Deep is an example of modern psychological and survival horror done right in just about every way possible. It's obvious that The Chinese Room has learned a lot from creating titles like Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, and that expertise has culminated in the studio's best title yet.

In the game's current state, I recommend it as an above average, albeit not groundbreaking, psychological horror title - but I can't recommend it as a simulator. Autopsy Simulator ironically isn't a simulator, but it's a pretty good psychological horror game that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

7 / 10.0 - What The Fog
May 16, 2024

What The Fog is great for what it is — a redeemable freebie, or a little $4.99 game otherwise. While it is a totally different experience to Dead by Daylight, and doesn't have nearly as much content, it's definitely worth checking out if you want a fun platformer/roguelike combo to play with your DBD duo and sink a couple of hours into.

9 / 10.0 - Crow Country
May 8, 2024

Crow Country is a modern survival horror title that draws from the best aspects of Silent Hill and Resident Evil to create an immersive, fun experience that will draw in both devoted fans of the genre and those who have never tried it before. From its story to its graphics, it brings back the elements of survival horror that we love the most, while putting its own unique spin on the classics.

While the Tools of Torment chapter has a sleek design and characters that might appeal to strategic players, it is far from being one of Dead by Daylight's best. The Skull Merchant's power doesn't always owe itself to balance, causing developers to make frequent, heavy changes since release. Overall, Tools of Torment is a chapter that's worth it if you particularly love the killer or are interested in her perks; otherwise, it's largely forgettable along Dead by Daylight's growing roster.

Gun Media’s Texas Chain Saw Massacre shines in its unique yet faithful and genuinely scary adaptation of the Texas Chain Saw Massacre film. Honoring fan-favorite characters (like, of course, the ever-iconic Leatherface) and brand-new introductions that don't at all feel out of place, TCSM seems like it might be a mainstay in the asymmetrical horror game world.

8 / 10.0 - Meet Your Maker
Apr 5, 2023

From its post-apocalyptic setting to the innovative gameplay and co-op capabilities, Meet Your Maker so far has a lot going for it. The game might be quite different from Behaviour Interactive's existing well-known property, Dead by Daylight, but its unique take on raiding and base building feels like a refreshing step for the developer. Despite being Behaviour’s first base-building game, the game breathes fresh air into the genre, offering players an innovative experience in a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi environment with the perfect formula for emphasizing the community’s creativity. The developers could perfect the game by expanding upon its lore and characters, creating an even more immersive world for fans to explore.
