Overall, Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed is a decent remake. It’s nothing too special but nothing too bad either. I would probably say it’s better than an average remake. The biggest win for me here is that they’ve stuck with good performance over better visuals, kept the soul of the original source material, and it plays like the original but with far better visuals and some small gameplay improvements. Voice acting is also solid, and the dialogue is a breath of fresh air. While it does has its cringe here and there, it’s still funny and goofy in its own way.

7.5 / 10.0 - LEGO Bricktales
Oct 12, 2022

LEGO Bricktales is a decent game with cool ideas hampered by atrocious navigational controls during the puzzle-solving and annoying music. The game, at its core, is a puzzle-solving game with brick-by-brick mechanics in beautiful LEGO worlds. The puzzles are creative, challenging, and fun to solve. The visuals are a joy to look at, however, your ears might need some cleansing from all the repetitive music you will hear for hours.

7.5 / 10.0 - Killer Instinct
Dec 2, 2013

Killer Instinct is a beautiful, fun and entertaining fighting game. But the lack of fighters and arcade mode is sorely disappointing.

One of the best compliments I can give Mirage is that it took me 20 hours to beat, not 100. Nothing about the game is intimidating, from the map size to the progression system. It’s a callback, not only to old-school Assassin’s Creed but also old-school open-world games in general. There is no hiding that Mirage was once an expansion but I will take it over a bloated open world any day.

Dragon Quest: Heroes is a fantastic spin-off with a lovable cast of characters, hilarious monsters, beautiful cartoon visuals, and addicting gameplay. However, the game does have some minor technical flaws, such as FPS issues, despite it being consistent 90% of the time. The mission objectives can get a bit tiresome by the time one finishes the game, but solid, basic gameplay is fun enough to finish the title and even continue post-game to collect everything 100%.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is a nice comeback for RPG fans. It’s a game that not many people got to experience and is considered to be a hidden gem when it was released in 2012. Now, everyone will finally be able to get their hands on it and see why the game was fun and exciting in the past. However, there are times when the game may or may not feel outdated depending on players’ preferences.

Overall, Aliens: Fireteam Elite is a solid and surprising entry in the Alien franchise. The game’s addicting nature, fun combat and gameplay really help it out. The game doesn’t try to be the best in the visual or audio department, but it does have polished game systems that are well thought out and fun to play with. Additionally, It sets a fantastic foundation for future content and seasons. While it’s unfortunate that the matchmaking was broken at launch for Xbox users and the game is lacking full cross-platform support, I still had a great time even when I played solo.

In a nutshell, I enjoyed what I played of Diablo II Resurrected so far and it’s a worthy remaster/update to the original classic. As previously said, if you are a big fan of the original game then you will absolutely fall in love with this. If you are looking to get into the Diablo franchise for the first time and are used to more modern-day RPG mechanics and combat then you are better off playing Diablo III: Reaper of Souls.

If you have never played Monster Hunter Rise, then the PC version is a perfect excuse to jump in. Despite the game not looking much better than Monster Hunter World or worse rather, it is still a solid game that should not be passed up.

8 / 10.0 - GRID Legends
Feb 25, 2022

If you are looking for a fun arcade racer with tight controls and good car handling but do not mind the forced live-action story mode, Grid Legends might be for you. While the game won’t impress your friends with its visuals or audio, it does provide a lot of content, thanks to the career mode, social play, and race creation.

Overall, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is a fun game that accomplishes what it sets out to do. If I am being honest though, the gameplay can get a bit boring if you play it alone. It is best played with a buddy or a group of good friends.

8 / 10.0 - Eville
Oct 12, 2022

Social deduction games rely heavily on the people you play with. If you have a good crew of friends, then you are most likely going to have a blast. If the crew is boring, overly toxic, or just not as energetic, then it won’t be as fun. What impressed me the most about Eville is how risky the game is, regarding mechanics.

8 / 10.0 - Wild Hearts

At the end of the day despite the game’s issues with an uninteresting story, unskippable cut-scenes during online play, inconsistent art direction, and some annoying technical issues that still need fixing the game is a blast to play and is a very pleasant early surprise of 2023.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth provides a nostalgic trip with its enthralling story, beloved characters, and dynamic combat. However, its Ubisoft-influenced open-world design detracts from the experience, alongside technical shortcomings. Nonetheless, it remains a must-play for fans

8.5 / 10.0 - Forza Motorsport
Oct 4, 2023

Forza Motorsport will be receiving a final verdict of 8.5 out of 10. All in all, it’s a great game with a few weird design choices that hopefully could be addressed in the future. But the experience of racing itself is addicting, beautiful, and top-notch. It also has a ton of content for you to mess around with, 500 cars to collect, monthly rotational events to participate in, and a fun multiplayer mode to play by yourself or with your friends.

8.5 / 10.0 - Halo 5: Guardians
Oct 26, 2015

Overall, Halo 5: Guardians is a good addition to the franchise and has the best gameplay in the series, and that is a bold thing to say for a franchise that’s been running for 14 straight years. However, the technical sacrifices and image quality losses are a little too much this time around. Halo 5: Guardians is not game of the year material. However, it’s a great game on its own. The multiplayer is addicting, and the future story can go many interesting directions that will make the fate of Halo exciting.

8.5 / 10.0 - The Outer Worlds
Oct 22, 2020

If one has been craving a true single-player RPG with a good leveling system, fantastic voice acting, good storytelling, and excellent pacing, then The Outer Worlds is a game that gamers must play. The game lasts around 30 hours, and that’s including completing both the main storyline and majority of side quests. Thankfully, with how many choices players have in this game, the replay value is high. It’s always fun to see the other outcomes in one’s next playthrough—or tenth.

At the end of the day, The Last of Us is a two-generation old game already remastered for a new-generation console right after the launch of the PlayStation 4 with better visuals and overall fidelity. Sony, however, decided to take another shot at the game and create a completely new version for the PlayStation 5, introducing the franchise to those who have never played it or are about to watch the HBO series. The reality is that the fans are loyal and will most likely purchase anything related to The Last of Us brand, whether it’s something new or old.
