Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is an excellent platformer that has a great level design and fun puzzles. It might not offer much for those who are double dipping with this game, but as a part of the Switch’s library, it is a worthy addition.

Night in the Woods is as charming as ever on the Nintendo Switch. The performance is a bit of a mixed bag and there can be some bugs, but all said, it is a solid port that offers a great experience whether you play it on the big screen or take it with you for some portable adventure.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a highly fulfilling role-playing experience with rich worldbuilding, well-written characters, and intricate quest design. It is only marred somewhat by its battle system, which doesn't remain interesting for long and often becomes a chore.

If you are a Guilty Gear fan, you shouldn't miss out on the chance to experience the conclusion of the story that started with the original Guilty Gear Xrd. The new additional moves and balance changes along with the new characters improve an already fantastic fighting game.

Slightly Mad Studios appears to have taken the feedback of the fans into consideration when developing the sequel resulting in a product that is a solid upgrade over the original Project CARS. This might not be the perfect racing simulator but it definitely offers the best package overall in term of the visuals and the gameplay simulation.

Hitman 2 is engrossing from the beginning to the end. It is a masterwork in stealth, and visually sublime with a gorgeous implementation of HDR. IO Interactive has iterated on what made the original Hitman fun, and the result is that the sequel hits new highs leading to one of the finest Stealth games released this generation.

Modern Warfare’s re-envisioned take on realistic combat may not be for everyone, but it establishes a great foundation for something special and has the potential to eventually get there. The campaign delivers a short but provocative story coupled with some spectacular action sequences, while the multiplayer brings a broad range of fresh content and options that are bound to keep FPS fans hooked.

Control can be summed up as a psychedelic trip through a labyrinth full of mysteries. Its psychic abilities and gunplay work in tandem to create enjoyable and creative combat encounters. While short on replay value, the experience is fun while it lasts. Physics-based gameplay could be the future, and Control gives us a glimpse at it.

The wargame side of things is less engaging, however, as battles are largely a strength in numbers affair. Despite its grindy economy system, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate offers hours of engaging content, including the meaty and enticing story mode. While not quite as deep as some of the Japanese fighters out there, the new additions to the combat make it a joy and thrill to play.
