Unless you own an impressive collection of 16 bit cartridges and an old TV, this is the best way to play Sega classic games. We miss some titles (specially racers, shooters and third party) and more extras, but still a great compilation for old school gamers.

60 / 100 - Agony
May 29, 2018

Being a tormented soul which travels between bodies to escape Hell is a great idea. And there are some good design choices made in Agony, but everything falls apart because of its mediocre graphics, poor controls and unpredictable IA.

Nier Automata finally arrives to Xbox One, including every DLC released, and with improved resolution for Xbox One X. It is one of the greatest J-RPG of the generation: difficult, rewarding and with great characters.

Crash Bandicoot returns with new graphics and the classic gameplay (which is sometimes unforgiving due to the camera movement). Nintendo Switch version offers lower resolution than PS4 or Xbox One, but the game still looks great and we love the possibility to play anywhere in portable mode.

This is the same game we enjoyed four years ago in Wii U. A perfect mix between puzzles and platforms, which includes four new Super Mario Odyssey inspired levels and a new (pretty basic) coop mode.

Another World still feels like a great sci fi adventure after 25 years. It´s short and controls are rough, but it is a piece of history. We just miss some more extras. This is exactly the same game we received four years ago.

93 / 100 - Sonic Mania Plus
Jul 16, 2018

Sonic Mania was the perfect homage to the classic hedgehog games. Plus version adds two new characters, 4 player coop split screen, new game modes and a great physical edition, so it gets even better.

80 / 100 - The Persistence
Jul 26, 2018

The Persistence is terrifying, makes great use of VR and its procedural level creation works great. We also like the local asimetric multiplayer approach.

60 / 100 - Go Vacation
Jul 30, 2018

As the original game for Wii (released seven years ago), Go Vacation is an interesting minigame collection to enjoy with friends or family, although there is not much improvement in Switch version and free roaming is boring.

80 / 100 - Flashback
Jul 31, 2018

25 years after its original release we still love this cyberpunk adventure. The new filters and rewind options don´t add much to the original, but Flashback didn´t need that kind of improvements. Physical edition is also great.

72 / 100 - We Happy Few
Aug 16, 2018

We Happy Few delivers a great story, with a perfect setting in an alternate sixties Britain and some easter eggs for fans of classic sci-fi literature. Sadly, missions are too similar and there are some technical issues in combat, loading times and survival mechanics.

91 / 100 - Yakuza Kiwami 2
Aug 23, 2018

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a great adventure, full of details, minigames and wonderful characters, and it gets a new Goro Majima campaign for this PS4 remaster. Combat system is not as deep as in the first Kiwami, but still, it is one of the best entries in the franchise.

One of the greatest classic RPG of the generation. Story, setting and freedom of action seems uparalleled, although controls and menu navigation for consoles version still feel a bit rough.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider improves every element of the previous games. Tomb design, jungle setting and the natural disasters complete the definitive Lara Croft adventure. Sometimes it feels to similar to Rise of the Tomb Raider, not only gameplay wise but even locations, characters and enemies.

15 years after its original release, ZOE 2nd Runner is still a good robot combat game. Thanks to a great remaster in 4K it doesn´t look too outdated, except for the anime sequences. We enjoyed the VR mode, which allows us to play the entire game in first person perspective.

As a visual novel, 428 Shibuya Scramble is ambitious and makes a great combination of five different storylines. It suffers from the limitations of its own genre, such as poor visuals or little interaction.

Fist of the North Star feels like the perfect anime adaptation. It has the looks, the bloody combat sequences and the free roaming through the wasteland, with many collectibles, minigames and some surprises for Sega fans, although it doesn´t feel as polished as a Yakuza Game.

Blackout is a great addition to the formula, and the game has the best multiplayer in years, with some elements from "hero shooters", but the engine is getting old and we miss the solo campaign.

A great space opera for kids, which includes fast combat, deep exploration and some strategic elements. The use of toys and split screen multiplayer fits perfectly in the game. Switch version adds Starfox (with his own campaign, starship and allies).

85 / 100 - SoulCalibur VI
Oct 17, 2018

Soul Calibur VI is a great fighting game. Warriors catalogue is a bit too conservative (just three new characters that weren´t in previous games), but we love the story and mission modes. Geralt de Rivia feels like the perfect guest character.
