It show its age in some details, but still is one of the funniest open world adventures out there, mixing ideas and mechanics from games like GTA, Crackdown or Prototype. It's crazy, ridiculous, hilarius and parodies lots of games. A pure madness that last more than 20 hours, optional tasks aside, with an entertaining plot and coop mode.

79 / 100 - Dead or School
Mar 13, 2020

Dead or School it's a game with limited budget, and that sings from afar: animations, videos, repetitive backgrounds... lots of things could be better. But the important, its metroidvania gameplay it's fun and systems like the weapon upgrade are deep and works better. Add a crazyness layer, and you've got a simple but enjoyable game.

78 / 100 - Samurai Shodown
Feb 25, 2020

Samurai Shodown on Nintendo Switch suffers some of the common problems to this kind of ports, like longer loading times or an fps rate more unstable. Even with that, you can play almost perfectly and enjoy its fun and defying combat system, altough some newer and fresher modes would be appreciated.

Two Point Hospital it's what lots of players have been waiting: a new Theme Hospital. Maybe it's very similar to Bullfrog's game, and don't go too far from that formula... but at the same time, that's one of its strongests points: it's like traveling back 20 years, with some new additions. A very funny game, that newcomers can find difficult.

Vitamin Connection is another great addition to Switch catalogue, a very joyful oriented to cooperation that is a wonderful Joy-Con's tech showcase. And it does it with a great audiovisual presentation and style. But bear in mind that it can result a little bit short, with lots of backtracking and some difficulty peaks.

It looks like Diablo, it plays like God of War, what Darksiders do we have? An original and enjoyable one, with some attractive ideas that now arrive to consoles with a good port, event if it has with some problems (on Switch runs at 30 fps, some problems loading textures...). But even though, it's an enjoyable hack'n slash playing alone or coop.

Be warned, Musou fans: if you try Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate your time will be sucked into an endless pit: more characters, a new ending, and more modes, weapons, magic and challenges, but with all the known problems: it's very similar to WO4 and it tends to be a little bit repetitive soon.

If you're looking for a classic "metroidvania" with ninja abilities, that's just what Kunai offers: explore levels, kill enemies, push switches, get new abilities, kill bosses, get to new areas... and start all over again. All with a great Game Boy visual style, but in the end, it feels a pretty conventional game.

It's the amazing RPG of 2018 with all the systems and mechanics well adapted to console controls, with a superb writing and translation. But, all that great things get muddier because of the long and habitual loading times: 60-90 seconds for every single time we cross a door, change area... Until a patch fixes it, it's a pain in the ass.

Patapon 2 was real good in its orignal form, so in 4K it looks even better. The same sticky sounds, su divertida jugabilidad, sus numerosos secretos y mecánicas con profundidad... Sigue siendo un gran juego a reivindicar, si bien es cierto que el remaster descuida algunos aspectos, como escenas que no han sido remasterizadas.

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners it's a good zombi-survival experience, faithful to Robert Kirkman's work, with tons of action (or stealth) and tough moral decisions. it feels like a proper game, not a demo or an experimental title, even if it has some space to improve (human IA, environments with little interactivity, lame narrative...).

An efective, joyful and funny proposal that updates the classic arcade gameplay from the 80s and 90s with adventure elements from the metroidvania genre, lots of humor and a polished pixel art, that moves like a fish in the water between a doable challenge and a fair difficulty game.

SEGA AGES Shinobi it's another great work from M2, that keeps showing that it has no rival when it's time port and update classics. As the good wine, Shinobi it's a game that doesn't feel outdated, it's fun any arcade and action games lover should taste. The additions made by M2 are, simply, to make the game even better and more accessible.

Stranger's Wrath HD keeps showing that its offering was very original in 2005, and now, with this new edition, it doesn't feel outdated and at the same time it improves resolution, fps, loading times and add new features as movement control when aiming... Some details don't hide its age, but it's a great adventure, and this is its best version.

King of Cards is, without doubt, the most risky expansion of all of them. It brings brand new elements, as a complete card game (with collectible cards and fully playable) or a main character that plays very different from the previous ones, but as a whole it doesn't astound at the same level that Shovel Knight did up today.

Piccolo Studio's debut leaves a game that will linger in your mind for long, a simple adventure in its form, but with a message as beautiful as painful. One more example that videogames are a great medium to transmit a message and, as Journey and similar games, they are playable poetry. If you like this kind of offerings, go get it without doubt.

An interesting mix of genres (rogue-lite, twin shooter, RPG...), that shines with its atmosphere and exploration bits, but that results a little bit plain in the way the action unfolds. It doesn't help some design choices, like the repetition of the whole level if we die... but if you like Lovecraft, it can hook you.

Deadly Premontion Origins it's a cult classic that keeps being as shocking as surprising, a unique survival horror that you'll love or hate. We're from the first group, and still amazes us how crazy and strange it is, if you can forgive its technical flaws (looks like a PS2 game). Switch's port it's far from perfect, but now you can enjoy anywhere.

As the previous episode, Vader Immortal Episode III last 25 minutes, dojo Jedi aside. A very short experience that hit the same weaknesses, although it leaves some interesting and bright moments like a saber fight with Vader... that last very little. Gameplay wise, it doesn't go the extra mile... but the Star Wars charm it's strong with it.

85 / 100 - GYLT
Nov 18, 2019

GYLT is an adventure that, under the paradigm of an survival game, invites you to think about a real horror, the bullying. Its Tequila's more mature game, both in the narrative as in the playable and technical side, but it may feel a short game and not a very challenging one. As Stadia's first contact, it works like a charm.
