I won’t be surprised if Metroid Dread gets crowned Game of the Year. If that happens, I’ll be happy. Dread is a furiously frustrating, extremely challenging, and superbly satisfying game, and probably the best Metroid ever.

Civilization VI is pretty much the best incarnation of the famous series on release day. It takes things from Civ V and makes them better, plus it introduces many changes and new additions. And it's really pretty. There are some classic issues with a not-so-smart AI on top of the pile, but the "one more turn" syndrome is strong. And that's the best recommendation you can give.

Mario isn’t for everyone – that’s self-evident. But Super Mario 3D All-Stars combines three games so good that all platformer fans out there simply have to own it. Even if you already know Mario 64 and Galaxy from WiiU, it’s still worth buying the set just for Sunshine. Even at full price. Not even kidding.

This turn-based game is worth every penny: the developers have created a superb and minimalistic strategy game, which has an excellent system of achievements making you crave for more and more and more... Remember – defeat is only a beginning and the satisfaction is great!
