Despite the boring story and the lack of exploration, Omega Quintet is still a great game. The battle system alone is enough for me to recommend the game, but the game's pros go beyond just that. Plenty of customization options, helpful skipping features, and a general wealth of content just to name a few.
As a singleplayer experience, it is a lot of fun. The mechanics, customization, and amount of content are all great for this type of game. Bad AI and technical issues do hinder the experience though.
More a work of art than a game, Last Day of June depicts a beautiful, powerful story that works wonders when combined with Steven Wilson’s music and aesthetic.
Fantastic little city builder to play for a few hours at a time. Generally lacking in content, but enjoyable nonetheless.
A beautifully drawn world, great soundtrack, and solid puzzle/level design throughout. The game may suffer from awkward movement and long loading times, but it is worth it.
A solid metroidvania game. The game’s visual design and soundtrack are fantastic and the enemy variety is large enough to not make the experience feel repetitive.
A solid horror game overall. The incredible job done towards maintaining its atmosphere and the sheer amount of exploration to be done are my favorite aspects of this game.
Pretty good game! The gameplay mechanics are slick, the enemy and boss variety is excellent, and the story is just crazy. However, the difficulty, tweak variety, and controls could use a little work.
The sound design and relaxing gameplay are easily the game’s greatest strengths. There are some lazy side-objectives tacked onto the experience, but they can easily be skipped.
