"To be or not to be?" may be one of the most complicated questions you can ask yourself, but in this tragic tale of revolution and realization David Cage and Quantic Dream do their best to attempt an answer. A visually gorgeous, somewhat clunky, but generally excellent interactive narrative experience more than deserving of multiple runs through.
As the first DLC from the Far Cry 5 season pass, Hours of Darkness, is somewhat underwhelming; but that is not a reflection on the quality or quantity of the content it provides.
Far Cry 5 may not be perfect, but it's very close to it. Exhibiting the true meaning of AAA, it's a game that Ubisoft should be proud to have made and gamers should give pride of place in their collection.
I hope that Koei Tecmo learn from the justifiably negative press that the latest outing of the franchise has received almost across the board and abandon their production of endless sequels, tie-ins and spin-offs in order to reallocate appropriate talent and resources to make the next main entry in the series a game truly worthy of its own dynasty.
'Call of Duty: WW2' does an admirable job of attempting to recapture the essence of the series' glory days, but even solid design and implementation can't save this game from its inherent flaws. The campaign is good for an evening or weekend afternoon of entertainment, and as always your mileage may vary with the multiplayer.
