7.5 / 10.0 - Pokémon Quest
Jul 15, 2018

The first two hours of this game was fun, but in the end, the duplication of gameplay still makes me feel boring. Finishing this game needs too much luck instead of techniques, what's more, the silly AI always stops you from passing levels.

5.5 / 10.0 - New Gundam Breaker
Jul 5, 2018

I still can have fun when I was creating my own Gundam model, but the combat part of this game is awful. I can't stand the low frame rates and coarse details, and the number of Gundam models are not satisfying me at all.

8.7 / 10.0 - The Crew 2
Jun 29, 2018

The Crew 2 successfully expand its stage from ground to sky and sea, bringing a new trend to racing games. It still has some problems with the AI, handling and graphics performance, but overall it is a decent game with a good reproduction of American landscapes.

7.6 / 10.0 - Forgotton Anne
May 23, 2018

Forgotton Anne is good at telling a story, and creating a new world filled with magical things. The hand-painted art style and the background music are remarkable, and the puzzle part has some strengths too. However, the handling feel of this game is not satisfactory enough, which kind of reminds me the original version of Prince of Persia.

Dongkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is a solid platform game with creative level design, impressive background music and unique graphics performance. The NS version add a new character Funky Kong who can strongly reduce the difficulty, which makes this game more suitable for newcomers.

Ni No Kuni II tells a nice fairy tale with an iconic Ghibli art style. But the combat system is not good enough, and the design of side quests need some second thoughts.

The Curse of the Pharaohs offers a fantastic journey, while you finally have a chance to visit one of the most famous ancient Egypt city Thebes, and four pharaohs' tombs with their beautiful after-life worlds. We still can find some defects which came from the original game, but as a DLC, this 10+ hours' journey is satisfying enough.

7 / 10.0 - Bravo Team
Mar 9, 2018

Bravo Team is a halfway decent VR game with immersive shooting experience. However, the weak performance of PS VR drags down my evaluation of this game, and there are also many bugs within it. Maybe we can say, it's still not the best time for VR.

8.2 / 10.0 - Dead or Alive 6
Mar 6, 2018

It should have a perfect start, yet the lacking of online functions, the disjointed story mode, and the unlock methods of new costumes affected it.

9 / 10.0 - Into The Breach
Mar 3, 2018

Not like other SLG, pushing is much more important than damage in Into the Breach. Your strategies must change a lot to fit the new rules, which makes the game interesting and unique. Besides, you can find roguelike elements, a great variety of mechs, and challenging enemies in it too. It is definitely one of the biggest surprise you can get these days.

Koei wanted a brand-new look of Dynasty Warriors, so they decided to transform this game from an action game to an open world RPG. But this open world is like a rough stone, which has poor appearance and thoughtless design, with many boring side missions and too much time wasted on the way. The new combat system is fine, yet terrible graphics, tons of bugs, and low frame rates still ruined it, made this game a complete failure.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is like a great feast to anime fans. Many classic scenes perfectly reappeared in this 2D animation rendering game, and interesting reactions of the characters could satisfy fans as well. But it is not a game just for fans. Arc System Works used the experience learned from producing the Guilty Gear and Blzablue series to build Dragon Ball FighterZ a solid fighting game, with a cool 3V3 TAG fighting mode. It is much friendlier to newcomers, because of the one-button combo system, and the simplified movements input.

Comparing to the original version, you barely can find any difference in Ultra Sun/Moon. The good part is, USUM keeps the advantages of SM, while the bad part is, many previous faults can still be found in USUM. This is an expansion with no sincerity.

Candleman: The Complete Journey is a pretty zen game with a very attractive core design of puzzles. Using 10 seconds of light to find a way out is always full of expectation, especially the producer made the graphics extremely artistic and beautiful, which reminds me some former masterpieces like Journey or Monument Valley. Besides, I am really into the story about the self-redemption of this little candleman.
