You could do worse than spend 4 or 5 hours with Potata and her lumpy friends but that’s 4 or 5 hours you could spend playing something better. It might keep your kid busy for a few hours?
Paper Beast is a must play for any owner of PSVR, young or old. In many ways it fulfills the early promise of the medium by creating a level of player immersion that blurs the line between the world behind the screen, and the one outside it.
As the hours ticked by I kept waiting for the game to stop screwing around and get down to business but with all the starts and stops, it only ever seems to flirt with the prospect. This one’s best left for the diehard fans and maybe those with a high tolerance for Japanese quirk who don’t mind enduring its more off-putting elements to get to the hearty JRPG goodness at its center.
