The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics brings to the Nintendo Switch a turn-based strategy game based on the Netflix series and Jim Henson's classic puppet movie and while this game relies more on CGI than on puppets, the spirit of both the series and the movie is undeniable, thanks to the way the game immerses its players and provides a welcoming environment for fans and for those just discovering the world of The Dark Crystal universe.

Harvest Moon: Mad Dash on the Nintendo Switch might attract some attention on account of its affiliation with the very appreciated farming RPG series. That said, this puzzler spin-off (and therefore outside the main series) fails to make any good impression. Its challenges are empty, dull and uninteresting, the game's audiovisual environment is at a whole order below what the Switch can do and there's no moment whatsoever that genuinely stimulates the player (or players, given the multiplayer component).

Untitled Goose Game for the Nintendo Switch is...unusual, to say the least. Not just because it's a game that puts the player in control of a detestable goose but because it's fun and diabolically marvelous to commit some of the most morally reprehensible acts of bullying. Inevitably, it can end up feeling repetitive but the game's sense of humour, soundtrack and satisfaction that it gives to the player for playing despicable little pranks make this game a shameless delight.

Thanks to its unusual concept, humour and in-game actions, Godly Corp is certain to gain a special place in many player's hearts, even if that special place will live in a section of its own. Some aspects of its gameplay mechanics turn out to be rather frustrating and the lack of a multiplayer component significantly reduces its prospects but Godly Corp is still more than worthy of an opportunity.

Clannad, a visual novel that now reaches the Nintendo Switch, delivers everything that can be expected of a game of its genre and much more...from its comedic, joyful moments to the most heartbreaking, depressing times, Clannad is an absolute marvel of an experience that will get its players to play through its entire plot lines and grab their attention for a whopping time that can go well over seventy hours of gameplay.

If the beginning is entirely mired in a dull and monotonous ambiance, the game advances into a visually stimulating territory as the puzzles become more challenging, along with a soundtrack that matches the events in each and every moment. If anything, Hue needs a greater length, so that players could appreciate its artistic qualities for longer.

Bird Game + looks unique and its art style stands out but it doesn't quite do everything the way it should. The overall experience is too short, the difficulty level gets frustrating too quickly and while the art style is worth praising, it can interfere with the gameplay at some points. Overall, Bird Game + will disappoint the players who pick it up, with emphasis on fans of the fly'em up style.

Cinders is a good example of a visual novel on the Nintendo Switch based on a familiar tale, that of Cinderella, told through a more modern lens. While the game is rather short, its four endings act like good motivators to keep the players focused, especially with its quality writing and appealing visuals. Cinders would only benefit from longer storylines that would amount to a lengthier experience.
