REANIMAL is a very coherent evolution of what Tarsier Studios had been building, further honing their talent for creating oppressive and impactful worlds. It doesn't reinvent the formula, but it elevates it thanks to top-notch art direction and sound design, and a cooperative mode that adds real personality to the experience. Its limitations in gameplay depth and its tight length are still present, but they are clearly secondary to the strength of its premise. It's a game that stays with you long after you finish it, and that's something not all games achieve.

Blood on Crystal serves as the necessary conclusion to the Atomic Heart arc, focusing more on providing continuity and resolution to its story than reinventing the gameplay formula. It's not an expansion that seeks to surprise with radical changes, but rather to consolidate what has been built so far and give a coherent ending to P-3's journey. From that perspective, it delivers on its promise: expanding the universe and concluding the main plot without betraying the identity of the base game. It may not be the most innovative DLC in the series, but it is certainly one of the most consistent in its purpose.

MOUSE: P.I. for Hire is a game that stands out for its stunning art direction and distinctive identity, capable of making a lasting impression from the very first minute. Its gameplay, while solid and enjoyable, complements the overall experience well, only occasionally falling short of the variety its powerful visual presentation suggests. Even so, it manages to hold its own with remarkable ease thanks to its pacing and personality. It's a game that shines particularly brightly for how it looks and feels, rather than for any attempt to reinvent the genre.

Saint Slayer: Spear of Sacrilege is a very clear statement of intent: a direct homage to classic action-platformers with a distinct retro feel and uncompromising difficulty. It's a game that works particularly well if you approach it without expecting too many modern conveniences. For those looking for a well-executed classic challenge, it delivers quite well.

Ys Memoire: Revelations in Celceta is a very solid way to revisit one of the saga's most interesting installments, respecting its essence while adding small tweaks that make it more accessible and appealing today. Its agile combat, constant exploration, and carefully crafted soundtrack still work very well, demonstrating that the original's foundation was truly strong. Although it suffers from some limitations inherent to its classic design, the experience remains fresh and enjoyable from beginning to end. Ultimately, this remaster serves both as a way to discover Ys IV in its official version and to rediscover an adventure that still has much to offer.

Ereban: Shadow Legacy presents itself as a solid and distinctive stealth game, basing much of its appeal on shadowy movement and observation-focused level design. Its greatest strength lies in how it allows players to experiment with the environment, constantly combining light and darkness without losing momentum. The freedom it provides is immense, allowing you to do virtually anything you can imagine, thanks to a robust role-playing system and multiple ways to approach the adventure. Gecko Gods is an adventure with a very clear identity and an exploration approach that works especially well when it leverages its free movement and vertical world. Its camera issues, some clunky controls, and minor technical glitches prevent the experience from being completely flawless. Even so, it manages to convey a constant sense of discovery and tranquility that fits perfectly with its premise. It's a highly recommended game if you accept its unique nature.

Darwin's Paradox! is a very solid and distinctive adventure, standing out above all for its protagonist and how well it develops its central idea. Despite some inconsistencies in the stealth mechanics and a few somewhat uneven difficulty spikes, the experience remains consistently entertaining and charming. Its rather tight length and a few less polished moments prevent it from reaching its full potential, but they don't detract from what it offers. It's a game that's far more enjoyable than its minor issues might suggest.

Taito Milestones 4 presents ten more classic Taito titles released in arcades during the 80s and early 90s. The selection includes some heavy hitters from Taito's catalog, as well as some lesser-known games, and the compilation's extras are conspicuously absent, just like in previous installments—beyond the configuration options for each game, the save state feature, and the online leaderboards. Nevertheless, these kinds of products dedicated to preserving classic games are appreciated, though they could be given a bit more polish.

Shadow Tactics: Aiko’s Choice is an expansion that continues the excellence of the original game, offering more focused and intense missions centered on Aiko. Its shorter length and lack of new mechanics make it ideal for fans looking for more of the same tactical challenge, though it might not surprise those expecting innovation. Even so, the level design, gameplay, and faithfulness to the spirit of the base game make it a highly recommended experience. A solid and polished way to return to Edo-period Japan through stealth and strategy.
