Even though I'm not the biggest Star Trek fan, Resurgence did a great job of getting me interested in the world and lore.
Miasma Chronicles brings some solid evolution to the turn-based strategy genre. While making itself approachable to newcomers and fans alike. The gameplay is really good, but the story is, for the most part, forgettable.
Returnal is a solid game that will hit for roguelike fans especially but might set the barrier for entry too high for those just curious. The PC port pushes the graphical boundaries even further and makes Returnal look breathtaking.
If Mario Strikers: Battle League is going to thrive, it'll be in the competitive scene and with friends gathered around laughing and having a good time, and sometimes that's all you need.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a worthy spiritual successor to Suikoden. Outside of some combat tweaks there is a lot to love here.
The Planet Crafter is a cool survival crafting game with lots of possibilities. It just would have had more of an impact with a good end-game goal or a story peppered in.
A new hobby and a new love all in one.
Overall, 7th Guest VR Feels like the next step with VR. Being able to display some awe-inspiring environmental work and incredible mechanics, it has become my new game to show new to VR folks.
Overall, Assassin's Creed Mirage is a great return to form for the series, the gameplay is less bloated and more focused on the minute to minute fun.
For the hardcore turn-based tactics fans, Jagged Alliance 3 takes the series in a great direction. Unfortunately, there is really no onboarding before the difficulty takes a steep leap.
Escape From The Past is a great addition to an already great game. Muddled down by some difficulty curves, but the grand finale is a spectacle to behold.
After stepping away for a day, after beating Village, it has become one of my favorite Resident Evil titles and I hope whoever reads this picks up a copy and enjoys it.
The big takeaway is that Astro Bot is a series that Sony needs to continue; it really has the power to be, and basically already is, the mascot that Sony could continue to grow around.
Overall, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is exactly what CDProjekt Red promised three years ago. An awesome adventure in a cyberpunk world that feels alive. Between a great story and massive changes to core systems Cyberpunk 2077 is finally a very good game.
This is the pinnacle of Hitman...
I think Psychonauts 2 does something previously thought impossible, it not only met expectations brought on by years of waiting but somehow unexpectedly surpassed them.
I'm serious when I say that the new ending and dungeon are some of the best in all Persona games. In addition, the fact that it is now portable really elevates it to the next level, as performance on the Nintendo Switch is surprisingly fantastic.
This game was the original reason I wanted a PlayStation 5 and it was well worth it.
Asgard’s Wrath 2 is a near perfect VR RPG. Between its compelling story, great gameplay mechanics and scope it’s a must play for all VR Meta Quest owners. With just a few tweaks to the accessibility, it could have been perfect.
Arizona Sunshine 2 brings much welcomed changes and evolutions to the formula of the first one. With the inclusion of its adorable Buddy, Arizona Sunshine 2 is a great VR zombie game.
