8 / 10.0 - Railway Empire
Aug 16, 2020

Railway Empire is a great game that will keep players entertained for hours on end thanks to the huge amount of content and the way it calms your mind. The AI has some huge problems, however, which can detract from the overall enjoyment.

A tactical Warhammer 40K game that is true to its board game origins, offering a deep and intriguing storyline with many possible tactical choices, and where the clock is omnipresent. The game offers a lot of atmospheres, only marred by its current buggy state. If these bugs can be squashed postrelease, the game is a treat for the fans of the tactical genre, although maybe a bit on the easy side.

8 / 10.0 - The Outer Worlds
Jun 16, 2020

The transition of The Outer Worlds to the Switch is a decent one. All the content and dark humor is still there. The game play pretty well in handheld mode despite the joycons aren't particularly well equipped to handle a First Person Shooter. The game suffers from popups and loadtimes, but nothing unbearable. Overall a decent package, especially for those who want to play on the go. If you plan to mostly play docked, you might want to check out one of the other platoforms.

8.5 / 10.0 - Desperados III
Jun 12, 2020

Desperados 3 brings a compelling Wild West story telling the origins of John Cooper and his gang. Each mission is brimming with life and atmosphere and offers a real challenge. With up to six characters, each with their own abilities, there are many different styles of play possible. The game is certainly challenging, but offers a lot of replayability and value for money.

7.5 / 10.0 - Minecraft Dungeons
Jun 6, 2020

The Minecraft atmosphere is good in it, although the game actually has nothing to do with Minecraft at all in terms of gameplay. You can't tear down the environment and build anything. This is just a hack-and-slash RPG in the Diablo sphere. That the difficulty level is not high, although of course it can be set higher yourself. Mojang has done everything in his effort to make the game as accessible and forgiving as possible for younger gamers as well with various health-restoring options and fun upgrades.

The games are diverse and the package offers both well-known games and surprises. The design and accessibility are fine as well. With this package it is no longer necessary to drag the whole game box with you on Holiday. Instead, bring your Switch.

7 / 10.0 - Trials of Mana
May 21, 2020

Trials of Mana brings the old SNES version of the game to the modern age, but fails to take full advantage of modern possibilities. Graphics have improved but still have odd choices like stiff garments. the balance between very easy random enemies and very tough (mini)bosses is off, requiring more grinding than we want in a modern game. All in all Trials of Mana fails to fully deliver where its big competitor (FF7) does.

A decent story based on a strong background, which lingers too long explaining and then rushing too fast to a satisfactory end. There are some minor technical issues but nothing too serious. It's relatively short story offers enough choices and side stories to allow several replays.

With fully updated graphics and sound this remaster brings the original on par with current day, while keeping the original gameplay. While the choice to bypass the multiplayer alltogether, this version is a good choice for those that enjoy a story based FPS with a lot of action and all offers a fine chance for those that gave the campaign in the original a pass.

One Piece Warriors 4 evolves the gameplay from its predecessor. The gameplay is varied with many character choices and ways to develop them. For newcomers to the series the story and pace might be overwhelming but the gameplay more than makes up for that.

8.5 / 10.0 - Persona 5 Royal
Mar 31, 2020

For newcomers, Persona 5 Royal is the most complete, most polished game. If you have a strict budget, then the consideration is whether the additional cost of this Royal edition is really worth it. That's really only the case if you expect to invest more than 100 hours in this game. Then, of course, the additional cost is also immediately relative.‎

Glass Masquerade 2: Illusions is beautifully crafted and brings hours of puzzling fun for those times you're fed up with killing and shooting. Difficulty is adequate and can be raised for the die-hard puzzlers. The resulting glass-in-lead windows are a sight. Sadly, the music is not diverse enough to keep entertaining, and repeats often. Puzzlers don't have that much choice, but won't be disappointed by Glass Masquerade 2.

One Punch Man has made a succesfull transition to the gaming-world. The satirical approach to superhero Manga is conserved, while many of the recognizable heroes and villains make an appearance. Fights are diverse and mostly work pretty well. Recovery from getting hit doesn't always work well. The invincible Saitama has been incorporated into the gameplay in a unique way, that work really well. The mandatory sidequests to progress the story can become a drag.
