Beyond a Steel Sky is a really good adventure game that stands strong thanks to its solid writing, fun puzzles, and stunning presentation.
Rainbow Billy: Curse of the Leviathan caught me completely by surprise. It’s a really fun puzzle-platformer-RPG with really nuanced writing and beautiful presentation.
Quake Remastered—on the whole—is a damn fine shooter with great gameplay, beautifully touched-up graphics, a hauntingly stunning score by Trent Reznor, and a plethora of content.
Eldest Souls is a brutal and unforgiving action game with some interesting lore, gorgeous visuals, and some really good music.
Just Die Already has a few decent things going for it such as the freedom and nice artstyle, it ultimately falters due to controls that often feel sluggish, an uninteresting soundscape, and a sense of humor that never really lands.
While Dull Grey has its share of flaws, it’s still a really enjoyable visual novel whose storytelling and minimalist presentation makes for an interesting experience.
