I won’t go into too much detail this time. Wreckfest is exactly the FlatOut sequel every fan could have hoped for, featuring all the elements, the driving mechanics, and the excellent destruction we’ve come to know from the past. Bugbear Entertainment has simply done a fantastic job, and Wreckfest earns a solid 8.5 out of 10 from us.

WRC 10 is undoubtedly the best installment in the FIA World Rally Championship series, and while it doesn’t offer any drastic changes, new players and die-hard fans of virtual rally racing will be thrilled with the new release. However, it remains to be seen whether it’s worth it for WRC 9 owners to invest in the new installment, despite the inclusion of a historic mode. In this case, I wouldn’t rush into buying it and would wait for a significant discount, by which time the title will also be better optimized from a technical standpoint. However, if you’re a new player or last played WRC 6 or WRC 7, we can definitely recommend WRC 10 even at its current price. Overall, the new installment earns a solid 8 out of 10 from our editorial team.

Unfortunately, MX vs ATV Legends failed to build on the success of its predecessors, and following the 2018 installment, we’ve been left with a subpar game that struggles in just about every aspect—whether it’s the odd physics model, the uninteresting career mode, overly aggressive and dumb opponents, or even the inability to customize the controls to your liking. Rainbow Studios really didn’t pull this off, and let’s hope the studio’s quality hasn’t gone anywhere. Now there’s nothing left to do but quickly forget about MX vs ATV Legends and hope for better days ahead. As for us, the Gaming Professors, the game gets three and a half points out of ten.

The arrival of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on PC screens can be described as a success, even though a few minor flaws and technical issues bring the title down a notch. Despite this, you’ll thoroughly enjoy both adventures, and I personally hope that we’ll eventually see a remaster and subsequent release of the previous installments as well—something I’d definitely welcome on PC. On behalf of us at Gaming Professors, the PC version of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection earns a splendid 7.5 out of 10. Were it not for the minor flaws, I would have gladly given the game 8.5, or even 9 out of 10.

Trail Out is a solid and well-made clone that draws heavily on the legendary FlatOut series. If, like me, you were frustrated by the quality of the last two installments and were looking for something to satisfy your craving for a return—which I hope we’ll see someday—Trail Out is the one. Unfortunately, the game also has a number of shortcomings, though these can be fixed with updates. We give it eight and a half out of ten.

F1 Manager 2022 is a very successful debut from Frontier Developments, and if the studio plans to further develop this series in the future, it could become an unrivaled management game—perhaps even the best I’ve ever seen. Of course, it also depends on whether the Formula 1 championship appeals to you. F1 Manager 2022 can appeal to both types of players—F1 fanatics as well as absolute newcomers. However, the overall experience is marred by subpar visuals and occasional technical glitches. From us at Gaming Professors, F1 Manager 2022 earns a solid 7.5 out of 10.

At its core, PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC is still the same fantastic game it was in its original 1999 release, enhanced with more modern and polished visuals that also take full advantage of next-gen consoles and PCs. So whether you’re a fan of the original game looking to revisit PAC-MAN World or a complete newcomer, we can recommend this title without reservation. Plus, PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC is designed with younger players in mind, so if you’re a parent looking for a non-violent game for your child that also helps them practice their reflexes, this title might be the best choice right now. On behalf of us at Gaming Professors, I’m giving the game eight and a half out of ten points.

Imagine Earth is a truly excellent economic strategy game that, at its core, manages to captivate both seasoned players and strategy fans, as well as complete newcomers who don’t have much experience with the genre. I had an incredible time building civilizations, and thanks to its superb production values, I’m giving Imagine Earth a well-deserved eight out of ten.

The new Saints Row left me with rather mixed feelings, and even though we’ve gone back in time and the reboot is sort of returning to the series’ roots, it offers almost no innovation that could appeal to a new audience. All in all, Saints Row is still the same game we’ve come to expect, and instead of any major innovations, we’ve been left with a number of shortcomings that we simply can’t overlook after several delays. From us at Gaming Professors, Saints Row gets six out of ten.

Unfortunately, Bakery Simulator is a prime example of how a once-good game can be ruined. We’ve mostly gotten used to the fact that smaller studios aren’t always able to fix certain flaws, and we’re willing to forgive them for many minor missteps. Bakery Simulator, however, is not one of those cases, and if the developers are unable to tweak the movement mechanics to a more tolerable level, I’d rather remove this aspect entirely—or, at worst, leave it as is. The solution Live Motion Games offered its players, however, was more like the studio shooting itself in the foot, which eventually came back to haunt them. If you can get past this aspect and are satisfied with just moving around your bakery, you’ll get a good game that can keep you entertained for hours. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get past this problem, and for this reason, I’m giving Bakery Simulator a mere five out of ten points.

F1 22 has once again brought about a virtual evolution of the sport, ultimately taking the overall experience a step further. Despite a slightly different driving model, however, there isn’t much reason for owners of the previous edition to upgrade (perhaps only for the sake of official VR support on PC), and F1 22 will appeal more to players of older titles (F1 2020, F1 2019). As for the new features in the form of F1 Life and supercars, they haven’t quite lived up to their potential, and if Codemasters plans to do anything with these aspects in the future, they’ll likely need to put more work into the supercars in particular. Even so, F1 22 rightfully earns the title of the best game in the series, and we at Gaming Professors are awarding the game eight and a half out of ten points.

Given its design, Tour de France 2022 is primarily intended for die-hard fans of the sport. Other players, especially those who enjoy racing simulations, won’t find this title particularly exciting, and with its repetitive gameplay and below-average visuals, it ranks among the worst games of the year. Unfortunately, a few new features and changes don’t help much, and the continued lack of support for PC peripherals is a glaring omission. Personally, I give Tour de France 2022 five out of ten points.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is exactly what fans expected from this installment in the series. Once again, you’ll get your hands on a well-crafted aerial arcade action game that will delight longtime fans. Thanks to the selection of control difficulty levels, the game is also accessible to absolute beginners, though they might not enjoy the same repetitive missions that have been a hallmark of this series for years. For the PC version, it would be good to work on optimizing keyboard and mouse controls in the future. Even so, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is a great title that earns a seven out of ten from us.

Unfortunately, Road Maintenance Simulator failed to impress me in any way, or even surprise me. As a result, it’s yet another significantly below-average title that I can’t recommend to anyone in its current state. While it’s a slightly smaller disaster than Alpine – The Simulation Game, none of us wants to compare bad games and choose based on which one is the lesser evil. There’s probably nothing more to add—I’m giving it three out of ten.

What Lies in the Multiverse is a truly interesting and, in its own way, unique pixel-art platformer that offers an engaging story full of humor, colorful levels, and, above all, a great feature that lets you switch between two versions of each level. However, its stylization will primarily appeal to an older group of players, as it features certain aspects from the 90s that may not resonate with today’s generation. Even so, What Lies in the Multiverse is a great game that every platformer fan should try. I give it seven out of ten.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is an excellent and worthy sequel to the game released two years ago, in which the developers at City Interactive took the tried-and-true mechanics and gave them a fresh new look. The biggest draw of the second installment is undoubtedly long-range shooting, which offers a new challenge—especially for die-hard fans of the series—and many players are sure to love this feature. We must also praise the realistic weapon behavior, the pleasant design of the locations, and the semi-open world, which offers players countless additional possibilities and tasks that can significantly extend playtime. Unfortunately, along with its well-functioning mechanics, the sequel has also inherited the bad aspects, so we still encounter occasional bugs or tragically behaving enemy AI. Ultimately, however, this is a great title that should definitely not be missing from your collection of action games, and if you’re a fan of stealth and sniping, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is a must-have for you.

Overall, MotoGP 22 is more of a minor refinement of its predecessor, bringing certain aspects a step closer to reality. Were it not for a few shortcomings—such as poorly tuned AI, some visual glitches, and the lack of major new features—MotoGP 22 would be an absolutely perfect title for both newcomers and die-hard veterans of the series. Even so, this installment is the best Milestone has ever released. I give it eight out of ten.

Polda 7 is a solid sequel to the classic animated point-and-click adventure game, which still offers great humor, time-tested gameplay, and professional Czech voice acting. The only minor flaws are the somewhat dull introduction to the game and, for some, the inability to customize the visual settings. We’re giving Polda 7 eight out of ten points, as I enjoyed this new installment just as much as the previous one, and it’s clear that the developers at Zima Software haven’t run out of ideas yet.

While Tiny Tina's Wonderlands isn't a full-fledged, direct sequel to the Borderlands series, it's a solid stopgap that offers the familiar gameplay, great humor, and everything else we've come to expect. The only things marring the overall great impression are the lackluster technical aspects and, for me personally, a not-so-interesting story. It would also be nice to see some innovation in the gameplay itself in the future. I give it seven and a half out of ten.

The Dawn of Ragnarok expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is really just another run-of-the-mill DLC for the main game, which unfortunately doesn’t stand out from the rest in any way. And even though it offers a completely new location, enough gameplay to warrant a standalone title, and dozens more hours of exploration, it fails to justify the €40 price tag at which it’s currently being sold. Once Dawn of Ragnarok is on sale for half price, feel free to invest in it with a clear conscience. It’s not a bad product by any means, and it still features all the great aspects of the main game; it’s just that, for its current price, it doesn’t offer much that’s new, which unfortunately might not appeal to everyone. I give it six out of ten.
