Almost every aspect has improved from Team Ninja's previous work. The fantasy-infused story based on the Three Kingdoms complements core gameplay almost perfectly. On top of that, Its combat system has a distinct charm that entices players to turn their consoles back on immediately after turning them off.

Aloy's new journey after a year from the release is as enjoyable as the main one. While the newly added weapon provides more fresh, powerful gameplay, It is somewhat disappointing that the new area doesn't offer much difference from the mainland in visual wise.

A huge improvement over its predecessor, also with new gameplay mechanics. While the story of young Jedi and adventure through vast, open fields both deliver captivating moments, slight frame drops here and there on the PS5 version may detract the overall experience.

7.5 / 10.0 - LEGO 2K Drive
May 23, 2023

The return of the Lego Racer with intuitive control and brilliant action. The story unfolding in the charming open world and creative mode that fulfills Lego fan's desire are also attractive. Though 2K's notorious micro-transaction is still there, it is a quality game for having fun with family and friends.

LOTR: Gollum is a prime example of the results of a game that relies only on IP's power without solid structure. In the devastated gameplay, only a few people would be intrigued about the story of the unlikable protagonist.

A top-down, real-time strategy that successfully implemented the tension unique to the well-known franchise. Except for the overall clunkiness, the game's combat system with tough resource management provide both immersive gameplay and a bit of horror.

8.5 / 10.0 - Starfield
Sep 7, 2023

Compared to Bethesda's previous works, there seems no major innovations have implemented, and the empty space and perplexing UI can be stumbling blocks. Even though, it is true that the game does offer various sources of enjoyment as an entirely new universe. Once you get past the somewhat uninspiring initial stories, you might discover yourself playing the game without realizing how time flies.

This spy thriller unfolds in the new location called 'Dogtown,' where astonishing twists and truths remain elusive. Additionally, the outcomes that vary based on player choices offer a fresh experience not quite felt in the base game

8.5 / 10.0 - Forza Motorsport
Oct 4, 2023

The latest Forza Motorsport, returning to authentic circuit racing after six years, has further enhanced user-friendliness, accompanied by various technological advancements. The game offers immersive gameplay that goes beyond competition, adding the joy of overcoming one's own lap times, all set against visually pleasing landscapes. However, there seems to be room for improvement in reducing the significant repetition required when customizing one's own vehicle.

Returning as a reboot after nine years, 'Lord of the Fallen' successfully carves its unique niche on the solid foundation that is familiar for those fans of Souls-like genre. Some elements, such as unseparated multiplayer even after death are even better! However the lackluster impact of combat and rather frequent system clashes left a big room for improvement. Luckily, the developer is eager to make the game better with patches before release so, we'll see.

8.8 / 10.0 - Alan Wake 2

Remedy's trademark intricate narrative has evolved even further, combining with survival horror-style action to deliver a more immersive experience than ever before. In particular, the expanded lore developed over the past 13 years adds a unique appeal. However, issues with subtitles and bugs seems to be promptly addressed post-launch, and I have high hopes for improvements in this regard.

In granting players a bit of freedom, the campaign of this latest title has lost too much in return—perhaps even the reputation it had built up until now and the potential for the future. Fortunately, the refreshing zombie mode managed to somewhat heal the disappointment.

7.5 / 10.0 - Pacific Drive
Feb 27, 2024

Pacific Drive successfully reinterprets the core of the survival genre, centered around the bond with your station wagon. While the POV driving mechanics and the anomalies often provide relentless, occasionally exhausting challenges, the game still retains a charm that makes you want to take the wheel once again.

7.5 / 10.0 - Rise of the Ronin
Apr 3, 2024

A refined Team Ninja's action met an open-world experience. While the story unfolds like a grand drama of Japanese history, the limited impact of player choices is a drawback. The inclusion of sensitive real-life figures and the system for building rapport with them may justify the cancellation of the official release in Korea.

8.8 / 10.0 - Hades II
May 14, 2024

The different combat tempo from its predecessor may be divisive, but 'Hades II' already boasts an impressive volume of content that makes it hard to believe it's still in early access. The storytelling, which seamlessly integrates repetitive gameplay, is also top-notch. There is much anticipation for how much more it will impress upon its full release.
