LOTR: Gollum is a prime example of the results of a game that relies only on IP's power without solid structure. In the devastated gameplay, only a few people would be intrigued about the story of the unlikable protagonist.

In granting players a bit of freedom, the campaign of this latest title has lost too much in return—perhaps even the reputation it had built up until now and the potential for the future. Fortunately, the refreshing zombie mode managed to somewhat heal the disappointment.

It is still an enjoyable experience where you can build your own frontier with a relatively easy system. However, the entire process to win the game is too long and boring to aim for a shift to a competitive RTS. It is not easy to motivate the frontier exploring since pretty much all activities are for just military buildup.

6.5 / 10.0 - Deliver Us Mars
Feb 10, 2023

A sequel that unravels the series' story with increased characters on the new planet. Except for the poor character modeling, which has a plenty of room for improvement, the game will deliver a memorable experience for those who would like to go on a story driven journey to Mars on their weekend.

6.9 / 10.0 - High on Life
Dec 28, 2022

In 'High on Life', 90% hilarious joke in the entire game is barely but surprisingly well held up by the 10% gameplay. It may be a good choice for the weekend if you are a fan of Justin Roiland. But the lack of localization in certain languages has somewhat demerits the charm of Xbox Game Pass in terms of accessibility.

7 / 10.0 - Sand Land

A gift from Akira Toriyama, bringing back childhood memories. The original story depicting events after the original work is pretty enjoyable to watch. However, the overall monotonous core gameplay is somewhat disappointing.

7 / 10.0 - Rollerdrome
Aug 16, 2022

Rollerdrome is an action game smartly mixed rollerskating and shooting. While the fast, exciting action and retro style musics are impressive, relatively scarce volumes and cartoon rendered visuals can be divided into likes and dislikes.

It seems they successfully caught the nostalgic feelings of retro film cameras. A storytelling mechanic based on showing rather than telling is also interesting if it suits your taste. However, some minor errors with PC version need to be fixed in hurry and a few incorrect Korean translations are also affecting the core gameplay.

7.3 / 10.0 - Forspoken
Jan 25, 2023

While the cheerful combat with cool parkour moves were exceptionally fun, 'Forspoken' has been lacking in so many ways for players who have endured its delay announcement for twice. All those cute cats fill Frey's room only serve to double the loneliness that is already been full in Athian world.

7.5 / 10.0 - Rise of the Ronin
Apr 3, 2024

A refined Team Ninja's action met an open-world experience. While the story unfolds like a grand drama of Japanese history, the limited impact of player choices is a drawback. The inclusion of sensitive real-life figures and the system for building rapport with them may justify the cancellation of the official release in Korea.

7.5 / 10.0 - Pacific Drive
Feb 27, 2024

Pacific Drive successfully reinterprets the core of the survival genre, centered around the bond with your station wagon. While the POV driving mechanics and the anomalies often provide relentless, occasionally exhausting challenges, the game still retains a charm that makes you want to take the wheel once again.

A top-down, real-time strategy that successfully implemented the tension unique to the well-known franchise. Except for the overall clunkiness, the game's combat system with tough resource management provide both immersive gameplay and a bit of horror.

7.5 / 10.0 - LEGO 2K Drive
May 23, 2023

The return of the Lego Racer with intuitive control and brilliant action. The story unfolding in the charming open world and creative mode that fulfills Lego fan's desire are also attractive. Though 2K's notorious micro-transaction is still there, it is a quality game for having fun with family and friends.

A huge improvement over its predecessor, also with new gameplay mechanics. While the story of young Jedi and adventure through vast, open fields both deliver captivating moments, slight frame drops here and there on the PS5 version may detract the overall experience.

7.5 / 10.0 - Floodland
Nov 24, 2022

A simulation game focused on the peoples' life, rather than the world destroyed by climate change. Simple UI and tutorials completed with unique art seems suitable for beginners of the genre. However, resource limitations and bugs that sometime feel unreasonable make it difficult to head to the later part of the game.

Nov 3, 2022

Signalis added a bit of freshness by delivering a unique, dark worldview with a classic system familiar to survival horror fans. Though there are some shortcomings that almost all aspects are predictable due to its adaptations from the past, It is certain that the developers wanted this way. The latest title in the NFS franchise came back with fresh visuals. While driving on the road without any concerns and making to the top of street racing are always fun, even the lowest 'relaxing' difficulty seems not so relaxing for those who trying to enter the franchise for the first time.

In game design wise, 'Fobia' is a great homage to the classic Survival Horrors such as Resident Evil. While the action part against the monster is rather sloppy, the hotel's level design and terrifying atmosphere are quite impressive.
