Even with some issues, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft still is a good collection that makes Lara Croft's origins more accessible in the current platforms, especially for those who already experienced these adventures before, and adds beautiful visuals. However, new players will still have to handle the difficulties of Lara's gameplay and the obtuse level design. For those people, Tomb Raider: Anniversary (Multi) remains a better entrypoint.

Despite the criticisms in this text, it's possible to notice the good intentions and notable developer care in Ninja Issen. Despite appearing to be just another metroidvania among many, TEVI stands out for a combat system full of possibilities and an engaging story full of captivating characters and memorable bosses. Some problems related to the lack of variety in certain regions, occasionally frustrating moments due to the difficulty that affect some of the experience and a slight drag in the running time in the final stretch of the game are notable problems, but they certainly do not erase the shine of the adventure.

Prison City fulfills its premise competently, featuring stunning visuals and a unique weapon as its main feature. The less linear structure of the levels, the references to pop culture and the engaging boss battles provide fun moments, despite their resistance; however, compared to several other productions that are inspired by retro works, the game lacks its own identity that sets it apart.

An undeniable merit of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 is the opportunity to enjoy these classics on modern platforms, making it a valid collection. However, the absence of graphic customizations on PC along with the absence of the enhancements of Snake Eater's 3DS port and the omission of titles such as the MGS1 remake for GameCube and the excellent Game Boy Color title Ghost Babel, make it an incomplete package.

Though it may not be a remarkable adventure and doesn't extend itself for dozens of hours, Air Twister stands out as a fun and casual rail shooter with a modern approach to the '80s spirit. Pocket Bravery doesn't present major innovations to the genre and may not reach the same highlight as big names in the industry. However, it's a charismatic fighting game with a distinctive art style, having captivating characters and a really interesting, well-written story. Though a few technical issues may hinder it, it offers a fun and functional mechanical experience. It's a great homage to fighting games and it shows the talent of yet another studio from our country.

While the transition to 3D has brought some technical woes, Spark the Electric Jester 2 is one of the few examples of indie games with this high-speed three-dimensional platforming bent. Making this type of game is a huge challenge, after all, even Sonic Team went through difficulties in some hedgehog titles. Feperd Games took a step beyond the technical capacity to do so, but the potential created is quite evident here — and the third game, also already released, corrects many of these rough edges.
