Long winning streaks and long losing streaks. The mechanics are shady. They implement some sort of a Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment to keep players "engaged" that's a kosher word for addicted. Not competitive, it's almost an RPG: when algorithm decides that you're taking a goal, almost nothing you do can stop it (canceled demos, all 50s favoring a side, cancelled shots car going through it). When you score and "Epic" goal, just understand its the PC trying to make you addicted.
