Tldr; This game is fine and for free on PS+ go for it. It’s even fun, at the beginning. The conversations get tiring. If I was going to tell you how to enjoy it the most, I’d suggest playing a Dwarf, warden warrior, romance Harding and just ignore the Dragon
Just finished Dragon Age: The Veilguard on PS5. I started this one at the end of last year but kept getting sidetracked by other games, but finally made it back to finish it. Took me 90 hrs so this was a really long one!
I know this one got a
Playing the game a had a strong feeling that nobody of the team from previous parts could do what was done in this game. I don't feel any connection to previous parts. The characters changed so hard it is really hard to recognize them. What happened to Varric (his hair
What to say....
Terrible writing,...
Repetitive repetitive repetitive
Characters? Where???
RPG? Really??????
Broke broke broke
Fun game, but not a Dragon Age game. If you’re looking for a Dragon Age game that stays true to the dark fantasy of its predecessors stay clear. By far the worst game in the series, and two was pretty meh. The tone is bright, not dark, the dialogue is
This was not the next Dragon Age game and even if it did have a different title it would still be a bad game. A game with supposedly hard decisions but then they didn't manage to engage the players enough to care about the outcome.... Companions were generic and boring.
A good game for newcomers, a bad game for Dragon Age fans.
Pros: Graphics, Optimization, Combat, Build Variety, Itemization, Major story missions, most realistic trans representation in any video game I've played.
Cons: Inconsistent writing, too much modern language for a fantasy setting, Retcons, less rooted in the lore than
Dragon Age in name only. A grim dark fantasy franchise renown for relatable characters, strong story telling, and an emphasis on player choice pushed through a live service grater and covered in bright paint. This game in fact does run and can be played. However, maybe it shouldn't.
I'm currently 35 hours into the game and I feel like I haven't scratched the surface yet. Loving the story and the outside noise around this game seems silly and very right wing coded. If you enjoyed the previous game then you will enjoy this also and if you don't
Dragon Age: The Veilguard struggles with an identity crisis, torn between being a sequel to a much-loved series and attempting something new that doesn't quite resonate. It's a game that, despite its moments of beauty and occasional flashes of BioWare's storytelling prowess, ultimately feels like a pale imitation of what
I loved this game. Wonderful characters. Doesn't overstay it's welcome. Beautiful to look at throughout. Ran flawlessly.
Excellent Action RPG with stunning environmental visuals. Not a great Dragon Age Game. Linear. Terrible character modeling. Looks like a Fortnight game as opposed to Dragon Age. Unequivocally the worst in the series. BioWare needs to go back to basics.
Rather have uggly graphics but great game like the first one!
At first very happy for more Dragon Age content but halfway you realise it's not a good story and missing well written characters. Game forces you to follow scripted choices, only good options, and there's no option to be
Loved it. I rarely finish all sidequests without being fed up, but here I wanted it to last. I cared about the companions. Could it be more complex? Sure, but I did not miss that. The ending was *chef's kiss*.
