Created an account just to add this review. Phenomenal game. I want more good AAs made with passion like this one.
A remarkable achievement that came out of nowhere. By far the best turn based combat I have ever played. The characters are fully fleshed out and given room to develop and interact. The world and story are gorgeous and well thought out.
I only have a few minor complaints; the
Excellent french made (J)RPG which captures the epicness of JRPGs mixed with the whimsy and the sometimes frankly bizarre sense of humour of french people (admittedly, I am also French and I loved it).
Gameplay is great. Turn based with some reflex based QTE (they aren't easy, and are intense enough
This game is a friggin' masterpiece and I'm not even exaggerating. I haven't been so utterly enthralled by a JRPG nor a game's narrative like this in YEARS.
The storytelling, acting and writing on this game is on par with the Last of Us. And the turn-based combat with real-time dodging,
Music, plot, visualizations of locations, bosses, characters, and the characters themselves.... It's a masterpiece! 33 points out of 10!
Couldn't put this game down, also been bumping the soundtrack, amazing game.
I had never heard of this game before seeing it on Cohh's stream. It wasn't even on my radar, and I wasn't interested in playing, but after seeing the prologue as seen on Cohh's stream, I decided to give it a try as it was on Game Pass.
Started the game
I've haven't enjoyed a game that much in years.
This will probably be GOTY, play it before the amazing story gets spoiled.
I finished Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and I was very impressed. This French game made by a small studio sets the bar for what a small team can do compared to other big games.
The story of the paintress counting down to 33 and what was happening to this world was
Pretty everything about this game is perfect from the design to characters to the music and the story. I loved so much of it
A great game, everything is well thought out, optimized and interesting. The plot is dark and is presented in portions so you don't understand everything at once. MUSIC 10/10 and that says it all. The gameplay is interesting but by the second act it starts to get boring. The controls
Absolute masterpiece crafted by a small team. Instant classic. I don't want to try to convince you to play it, just do it, and then come back to say "THANKS".
