Ale & Tale Tavern has great foundations. The concept of managing a tavern in a fantasy world is intriguing. The visual design is appealing. The idea of cooperative gameplay is welcome. However, there are structural flaws. The quest system is monotonous. The combat is clunky. Single players may find the management overwhelming. Despite these shortcomings, the game offers moments of fun. This is especially true when played with others.However, those seeking a deeper and less chaotic simulation may be left disappointed.
